Michelle Filiault posted in the group Calorie Deficit Challenge
I haven’t posted in awhile, so I thought I’d pop in with an update. I gave up on the official challenge because I knew I’d never post every day. I’ve been tracking most days and have had no trouble staying within calories, but still struggling with protein. I’ve had a GI issue on and off since January such that most of what I eat goes right thr…Read More

I was going to start today, but I won’t get pictures in until tomorrow, so this is a practice post. Phew 1350 cals is not very many. I’ve been trying to eat less meat so the protein will be tough!

First of all, I finally watched the call replay about macros and it was awesome! Thanks Brad! I can’t seem to find the PDF document of the 20 tips? Also, I feel like this is the most basic question, but how do I even begin to figure out how to break up my macros?

Hmmm… I’m usually pretty good at finding things… where is the resource section? I did check under Nutrition and Articles and couldn’t find it?

Lately, I’ve gotten inconsistent with everything. So my February goals are back to basics… tracking food daily and hitting water goal daily. I really hadn’t been following my step count so I’m going to pay attention to that to see where I am and then set a goal from there.

Get back to being consistent with the basics! It will build a solid foundation to start stacking habits upon. Best time to start is now. You got this Michelle!

Hi everyone! I am 56 and I live in western MA. I’m a registered nurse and a board-certified nurse coach. I was at my fittest about 5 years ago. I was doing CrossFit, running, biking, all the things. I had some injuries and transitioned to kettlebell training, then to power lifting. Then Covid hit and my amazing gym closed. As an ER nurse, I…Read More
Does the protein seem to go through you more than other foods?
