Hit my macro goals today – all delish
~ Calories 70 under.
~ Protein 9 g over.
No real movement – unanticipated cortisone shot in my foot / ankle for “Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome” and completely numb foot and ankle for 9 hours. Still feels crazy.
Tomorrow is another day for the gym and more steps.
Loving seeing everyone’s posts and comments –…Read More-
Nice! What did you have for protein? Always lookin for more protein ideas 👀

I have been using Lillie Eats & Tells recipes to meal prep and they generally have REALLY good macro components and high protein, lower calorie ideas. I am dairy free so she also has great options there too. Her cookbooks are amazing but a little pricey. She has lots of free recipes that she posts on her blog and webpage if you sign up for her…Read More

Thank you to the ninja creami for the high protein snack that satisfies my sweet tooth!

Oh no… did I bring up something that is polarizing?🤷♀️ I don’t follow social stuff too much but I heard about it on a podcast and it has helped us get rid of all the ice cream in our house!

Google the Ninja Creami – I think it has a cult following! LOL I haven’t had it, but Brad used to do posts on IG of his recipes so he can explain it I am sure. It is an appliance which makes ice cream from your custom frozen ingredients. You can make the ice cream from protein powder, milk or plant based milk, can put in mix-ins, cookies,…Read More

All I do is freeze my protein powder in Fairlife milk. Then I use the ninja creami to make it like a soft serve ice cream texture. My kids and I love it because that all I use it for. It helps my kids and I get extra protein in a fun way. But we are super basic and just do vanilla and chocolate.

Calories 2000 goal, 1315 total for the day, 685 left. Scheduled a run today, but it didn’t happen.

Protein was tough to hit today but we did it. Big thank you to Babybel Lights and Oven Roasted Turkey Breast. Y’all the real MVP’s.

1472 out of 1510 calories. And 129 protein. Feeling good so far 💪 Good night 💤

I need to start paying more attention to my fiber intake. Any suggestions for easy ways to up that?
-
YES! I’ve been tracking my fiber for about a year. Doctor recommended me a high fiber diet. Which is always the way to go. Just had to have pain to realize it 🙄 brown lentils are incredible! If you can make a soup with them. Omg you’ll be golden. But now on a regular day to day obviously vegetables but I like to add in an apple, avocado is gre…Read More

I add All Bran nugget cereal (1/4 cup) to my Greek yogurt and to protein oatmeal. I also use Ole high fiber wraps for ‘bread’, wraps, snacks. Between those 2 near daily foods, berries and veggies I usually hit about 40 gm of fiber.
-
I don’t eat a ton of bread because I don’t love it, so a high fiber wrap might be a great addition to my diet. Thanks for the ideas!

Popcorn has more than most snacks so it’s a good way to sneak a little extra in

I finished today’s goals. Also day 2 no wine. I definitely need to resume my walks now that my husband is home. I am literally a sedentary shut-in otherwise because I work remotely from home. It’s been a real double-edged sword these past 4 years. I also need to meal plan and stop eating random stuff to meat my protein goals 🤣
-
Day 2 no wine, good for you! With Ingrid we have a great “wine substitute” for night time. We take Grape Zevia and put frozen cherries and a touch of cherry juice in. Served in a wine glass, it satisfies the craving 🤣
-
Thank you!! I have been thinking of trying all alternative, so I will keep this in mind! 😊
-
-
Win! Day 2 no wine. Keep going. Meal prep makes a big difference.
-
Yes, I’m going to have to find a way to meal prep for next week for sure. I just have such an aversion to leftovers 🤢

Had to guesstimate today. Went out to lunch with a friend so I’m sure my numbers are off but at least I am keeping consistent with tracking even if it’s not 100% correct.

I just looked back at my last three days of logging and it looks like my fiber is good but I’m low in potassium and iron. I don’t eat meat except fish occasionally so I expected the iron but what foods are good for potassium that you all eat?
-
-
My wife likes beets but I can’t join her on that hill. I’ll live and die on my hill of bananas 😆
-
-
I get some iron from eggs, beets and spinach. I don’t eat a lot of red meat either. I’ve always considered supplementing. Probably should

My go to snack right now. Love Greek yogurt and berries.

Yummmm this is exactly what we do too. I buy the frozen three berry blend from Costco and microwave it for about a minute and it’s perfecccct in the yogurt!
-
Same Mandy!! I make dairy free Greek yogurt for breakfasts and sometimes snacks. I add protein powder for breakfast, and usually some bran cereal for crunch for both. The berries make these sooooo yummy.

Yesterdays macros. I wasn’t able to post last night for some reason! I am upping my fiber today with more berries and veggies.

Posting late since I got busy at work and missed midnight! This was for Tuesday! 💪🏼

I was laying in bed for the night when I realized I hadn’t added my nutrition post for the day. 🤣
