Today is a rest day after 5 days at the gym. Not liking it at all. My body needs it though. Came outside to chill a little and reset. Watching a possible storm brewing. Wind is kicking up. Love how fast the weather changes here…. Just like NY. Feels like home. 😊
Any recommendations / advice on how to chill and utilize rest days without feeling u…Read More -
Some of my outdoor time today. As soon as I walked into the gym, the guy who manages the weight room came over and told me I might want to head outside on the deck cause the weather was perfect! He even offered to bring out additional equipment if I wanted. Love this place… feels like home. 🥰

Had a couple really insightful moments today on the Key Collective community call. This is why community is so important. I think these have been ratting around in my brain for awhile but hearing what was being said on the call helped me really see and feel them. Of course now that means some work to do on fleshing them out. Self-improvement…Read More

Busy day, spent hours outside in the sun and it felt so good. Hit my goals. Happy. Hope all you great dads had a fantastic day.

Will I ever learn to make food for just one?!! I still cook for a family of 4 – 6 most of the time. Thank goodness some grown kiddos nearby who appreciate meal deliveries from their mama 😂

All leftovers mingle so super quick & easy with great macros to balance out the day. With a candle of course cause… Fancy Friday. 😊 Hope y’all had a great one!

Decided to up my daily step goal as another lever to dial in my fat loss journey. Walking pad during a couple work calls today and I was at over 10K steps when arriving at the gym tonight! Love it! Painless too. 🙌🏻

Since I didn’t have to go into the office today, I tried something new! I decided to start my day with going for a walk instead of going at the end of the day.
I forgot how much I love starting my day with some movement. And already over half way to my 10K step goal!

I saw someone today who i have not seen since last year when I started to really buckle down on my weight loss goal. And she absolutely gushed over me about the change….it felt great. Making these changes has caused some tension with some people in my life. They just don’t get why I am not eating/drinking the same. So to have someone just be…Read More

Day 11 – yesterday 30 Day Strong Part 2 is a little more challenging for me.
Nutrition was off and I missed gratitude and reading. Fell off the track a bit but am ready to get back on.
no excuses,
This weekend will be tough for nutrition as i am going camping. Hopefully able to map out the weekend and go in successfully.Do we now the…Read More

Dana! My late night workout was fueled by you and your mentality. I did not do 1000 situps but I did push myself through some mental resistance because of the inspiration you shared on the call yesterday! You are amazing!!

Hey yall! This past weekend was ROUGH on my body with severe fatigue but we got right back to it 100% today!
I’ve been rly enjoying ending my food with a ninja creami as a macro cap. I made a deal with myself tonight that in order to have it, I HAVE to do my push ups and sit ups as an incentive/reward. Pics of a few I’ve made recently.

I’m going to need a minute to find my life after leg day. Also the sun hit just right on the leg extension
machine to blind me a little. Or maybe it distracted me from the pain! Every time I do this leg day I think oh that’s not enough, only 5 exercises, I can do more than that. Then I get to the end and wonder how I’m going to climb in my truck! -
Last weeks stats were nearly perfect. This week so far is a hot mess. Another long day tomorrow then I can breathe.

Where is everybody from?? I’d love to see if there are any lovely people in my area!
I’m in Victoria BC Canada 😌

This photo was taken right after my workout on Friday. Today I started week 4 of Train with Brad and I’m amazed at the results I am getting. A week ago I also got some dry needling on my left shoulder and I’m already seeing a difference in the way I feel during and after my arm workouts. I will continue for several weeks. Does anyone have any sug…Read More

Another week sober, 150 days Wednesday – Goals to make it another week sober
-
Wins for last week – down another 5 lbs!
Goals for this coming week, just continuing to stay on track and doing what I know works. Which is a solid morning routine, the gym, getting steps in, hitting my macros, water, podcasts, etc.
-
Long term goal I want to be able to do body weight pull ups. Next week I have a huge conference for 275 of our customers. It’s a long busy week of teaching, entertaining and just being ‘on’ with customers. My goal next week is very simple… try to sleep and drink tons of water!

Had to take my first zero today. Had another extra long and crazy day at work. Managed to still do everything but the 30” outside activity. 🤷🏻♀️ It’s ok, tomorrow is another day.
-
I have fallen off the last couple days since we are out of town. This morning I went over the last couple days to be accountable and get back on track and didn’t do too badly. I’m hoping that means I’m getting better at naturally sticking to my goals even while not paying attention. That being said though….back to paying attention. 😃

Sunday meal prep tip for this week. Keep it simple. Bulk prep your protein (chicken, beef, ground turkey, fish, etc) your carbs (rice, potatoes, pasta, etc) and your veggies (broccoli, asparagus, green beans, etc) all together and then portion out. I put my veggies and carbs on a sheet pan and roast them together in the oven with seasoning of your…Read More

I also love to roast a whole large sheet pan of veggies for the week! 😋

Another walk in the woods today with my now 2 yo grand baby. 🥾

Another view of my walk!
I’ve started creating a routine this time around of: after dinner going on my outdoor walk, then doing my sit ups/push ups, taking a cold shower (which I kept from round 1!!), and ending my night with a protein creami to round out my protein goal. And it just feels so nice having this routine! Hoping it can stick, at l…Read More

I did all the things and almost forgot to post. I’ve been doing the daily gratitudes, but I miss the reading. I want to try to keep that going. Maybe at least every other day.

Day 6 was going well until a last minute change in dinner plans. i substituted things in MFP and they looked good except i had a soda. This was part of my compliance so i missed this one.
Tomorrow we stay more disciplined and aware.
Hope all had a great day

Good Morning All
Well yesterday was a crazy start to the day and a crazy finish. All is Good

Happy day five!
Today, one of my gratitudes was having access to a home gym.
Work was extremely long with lots of emotions and my commute home is an hour. I knew if I put off my lift until after dinner, I would NOT have the energy to go another 30 minutes to the gym. So the second I got home I changed & just got it done! And then…Read More

Sometimes walking with June is just lovely, sometimes it’s dragging her because she wants to do beagle things the whole time. That was today. So I guess it’s good that I’ve got some good arm strength to drag her along. Today was also the last day of junior year school for my son. It’s been a rough year, I’m grateful he made it through, I’m proud…Read More

not very helpful now because your post was 2 days ago but next rest day start by asking yourself “what does my mind/body/spirit need today? What sounds fun? What is something I have done for a while that I could do?” Rest day doesn’t mean sit on a couch and do nothing all day. Get good at asking the question of your body and listening for the…Read More
