I have a National Powerlifting Championship on March 2
I’m currently at 208lbs.. gotta cut to 198lbs, while maintaining strength. Dropped 7lbs so far this week by dropping my macros and increasing steps. The struggle is real at this moment.5 Comments -

I’ve been loving the Hevy app for tracking my work outs! Upper B and we increased volume from last week!

It’s great! It a workout tracker. I just created a new routine and entered the collectives 4 day split! It’s nice because you can start a work out, record the weight and reps, and you can set a timer for rest! Super convenient and helps me stay on track to be sure I’m am progressively overloading!

Omg I feel this in my soul!!! I feel when I up my steps and workouts… the hunger is REAL!
Good luck 😂

Always hungry! Seriously though after the first few days starting into a cut and getting past the resistance curve, that irritable little gnawing feeling goes away for me… then towards the end of the cut it comes back and is pretty much constant.

Early morning steps to start my day. Have a great Wednesday friends! 🙌🏼👊🏼

Traveling this week for work, the days are long and busy. I committed to myself working out while I was gone. Purposely found a hotel where a gym I can go to is across the parking lot leaving little excuses. Yesterday I didn’t workout. Today I told myself go for 15 minutes and if I’m not feeling it then I can leave. I got a full upper workout in…Read More

Honestly same 😂 Once I realized my meals could be this simple and don’t need to be anything extravagant is when this journey got much easier! Whole ingredients are so easy to count!

Zero sugar soda is a life saver when I’m in a cut. Fresca is life for me 😂😂😂

Same! I stick with mostly water through the day but Coke Zero satisfies that little sweet tooth!

Was starting to get frustrated with my chicken breast turning out boring and dry. But holy moly did this recipe exceed expectations! So glad Walter took over cooking tonight to try something new! He’s also better in general at cooking than I am 😝
Thanks for this chicken recipe Brad! 🤤

Here is the stand up desk accessory I bought for me and one of my sons several years ago. We both use it every day and love it. Reasonably affordable and useful / easy. I put my walking pad under my desk with this (which rolls easily out of the way – which is great). Thought I would share.

I love this! I got my standing desk from Costco and have my walking pad underneath! Such a good investment

First of all, I finally watched the call replay about macros and it was awesome! Thanks Brad! I can’t seem to find the PDF document of the 20 tips? Also, I feel like this is the most basic question, but how do I even begin to figure out how to break up my macros?
Second, just an update as to my February goals. I was going to back to basics…Read More

First off, love the goals!
Secondly, the list I read off is actually directly under the recording of the call. Let me know if you can’t see it for some reason. 🙂

And lastly, there was a video in the resources section about how to set your own macros for fat loss and for maintenance. From that point, you can also write me with any questions about where it says to put your numbers.!
-
Hmmm… I’m usually pretty good at finding things… where is the resource section? I did check under Nutrition and Articles and couldn’t find it?

He would kill me if he knew I posted this but I got my hubby to join the gym and come lift with me!!! TOTAL WIN! 💪🏼🙌🏼 Happy Saturday everyone.

Would 4pm MST on Tuesdays work better for our weekly live call?See Results
-
I think Fridays or Mondays would be better if possible but if not 1:30 works best and I can try to be on the calls.
-
I could attend on Tuesday evening only 1 out of 4 weeks. I could attend in the evening (Eastern) on any other day. But of course you can’t please everyone.
-
1:30MST works ok for me but I can only be on intermittently during that hour.

Just finished week 2 of one of the workout programs. Loving the mix so far 🥰

Happy Friday!!!! Ending the week with legs. sheeeeesh, I will be feeling this all weekend 🔥😅

Legs tonight after work. I love to hate the bulgarian split squats, they’re a burner for sure. I leave Monday for a work trip. I’ll be gone the next 3 weeks, home on the weekends except for 1 trip is through a weekend. My typical breakfast is protein powder and a large handful of spinach. I have a travel blender that I take with me so I know for…Read More

I did the push workout after work today. I left the gym not knowing if I was going to be able to use my arms to drive lol. Uffda went heavy and pushed hard… pun intended 🙂

We are currently working on more content and would like your input! Let us know your suggestions below

1. Workout/training logs for accountability?
2. Place for goals to be documented.. accountability?
3. Progress metrics??

@bradjensen do you have any modifications for the dumbbell spider curl? I’m short, 5’1 and leaning over the back of the bench is difficult. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m short or I’m not used to the movement. Feels super awkward with the bench hitting me at like the collarbone when I lean over.
-
Hey Kristi! If your gym as a preacher curl, with a flat back, I would suggest trying those. Another alternative would be concentration curls. I will attach pictures of examples below.

Hit the gym tonight after work. I’m doing Brads workout. It’s amazing what it feels like when you train instead of just workout. Noticing what 1 or 2 RIR actually feels like and what failure actually feels like. I hit my protein goal and calorie goal today, had 100oz of water too, feeling like a successful day even if my steps were low.

That is awesome! Keep pushing yourself and you will love the progress you see.

I have a week and a half of a 6 week challenge i am doing, then jumping into Brads workout. Can’t wait. keep posting love to keep hearing about it.

Good morning all, I am curious if anyone has got to a point in their health journey where they are at the point where they have lost a bit of hope and grit. I’m sure someone here will have some good advice! I think it’s awesome that you recognize were you and sharing your frustrations! Feelings of frustration is probably common! Not quitting and remembering the why and imaging the results of the success has carried me through those times of self doubt and frustrations.

Honestly what helps me is taking small baby steps! Drink an extra glass of water, take 500 more steps, go for a 10 minute walk. When you’re only looking towards the finish line it can be very overwhelming! Don’t try to do everything at once! Small behavior changes add up to big change ♥️
