I decided to forego pizza night with my kids tonight. I know I have a hard time not eating A LOT of pizza. And I’m so happy with my decision. I decided today that I will eat pizza with them once a month, but my goals on this calorie deficit challenge are to figure out how to allow myself all the foods in an 80/20 ratio. I have a hard time controlling myself with pizza as well. I did have two small slices the other day and waited-and found that I was satisfied. Normally, I would eat half a pizza and feel stuffed after.

I listened to Brad’s latest podcast and ordered some Kreatures of habit oatmeal. I’ve been eating protein oatmeal every morning since January, but I definitely prefer 30 grams of protein compared to 10. I’ll let you know if it tastes good:)

I was just listening to that podcast this morning too! I’m excited to hear how they taste!

Bad migraine day 4! 😩 Chiropractor appt, doctor appointment, grocery store, cardio, cleaned, picked up vitamins, took a bath and now closing my eyes early to hopefully get rid of this migraine. I hope everyone crushed this day! Don’t let the weekend be your WEAK END!

Oh nooo 😞 hopefully your migraine went away 😔 I know I have a headache from this weather. We are supposed to get massive amounts of rain starting tonight

I hope you feel better in the morning! I would love to know what you’re eating. My goal macros look fairly similar, but I’m higher on carbs consistently!

I’m eating raspberries, blueberries, chicken, Greek yogurt, veggies, protein sticks from 1st phorm, egg whites, Kodiak pankcakes, turkey bacon, red potatoes. I make up a big salad at the beginning of the week and have that at night for dinner with a protein. This was yesterday. Again didn’t get any points bc I was over on everything, I think from being severely under on everything the day prior! Can honestly say I didn’t eat junk and ate whole nutritious foods! That’s how I knew I was starving bc I ate so well and was reaching for higher quality food!!

Maybe you need to up your calories if you’re way too hungry? You could be burning more than you think. It is important to listen to your body too if you have a few more active days than normal 🥰

I’ve noticed the same thing adding more nutrient dense foods! I want them more!

Love your honesty. I caved in to some munchies today too and to be honest… it was totally worth it those cookies were amazing. Except I only had 2 cookies instead of a million and for that I’m proud. Little wins 🙂

Definitely important to listen to your body. Usually when I’m cutting I need a refeed every two weeks depending on how active I am

Yeah some days I’m usually just way more hungry or it’s just a mental thing. I love protein so could overeat that all day everyday too 🙂

Not submitting this from yesterday as I wouldn’t get any points, but want to stay consistent in posting! This was a travel days after working night shift. I finished today’s goals. Also day 2 no wine. I definitely need to resume my walks now that my husband is home. I am literally a sedentary shut-in otherwise because I work remotely from home. It’s been a real double-edged sword these past 4 years. I also need to meal plan and stop eating random stuff to meat my protein goals 🤣

Day 2 no wine, good for you! With Ingrid we have a great “wine substitute” for night time. We take Grape Zevia and put frozen cherries and a touch of cherry juice in. Served in a wine glass, it satisfies the craving 🤣

My goal is to prayer morning AND night this whole month. I’ve been super good about prayers at night, but really have been lacking in the morning. Curious to hear what Routine has worked for you when it comes to prayer for your higher power?
-
As soon as I wake up, I just hit my knees and pray. Before water, before anything. That is the only way I remember to do it, otherwise, I just get too busy. 🙂
-
I struggle with prayer the last couple of years. I always want to do better at it-I wonder if pairing it with an already established habit would help. Like pairing it with breakfast time or brushing teeth or the shower.
-
I am struggling with consistency as well. I have the best of intentions. I do pray, but I want to study and do deeper thought work and prayer, and just don’t prioritize it. I like the idea of habit stacking here. Any more ideas on how to do that with a daily devotional book would be greatly appreciated.
