Done for the day. Not much to say about the day really, just still learning this high protein way of eating. I’m looking forward to watching Brad’s call recording. PS my calories aren’t under – it’s the Lose It app trying to award me extras for walking. I was actually a little over.

Another successful day. Another migraine creeping up on me but learning to live with them as much as they suck. Every dr wants to throw a million meds at me and I just cannot. Gonna ice and close my eyes. Everyone is kicking butt in this challenge. Keep showing up, y’all inspire me.

Ou. Sorry about your migranes 😢 I wish I knew what you could do. A while ago I had very bad neck tension that caused migraine. You may have exhausted this option already but My chiropractor helped with them and eventually went away 😕
-
Hope you get some relief soon, Mandy. That stinks. My mom had bad migraines and I still have memories or how she suffered.

My favourite snack! Just plain Greek yogurt and a cup of frozen berries that I microwave 🤤
8 Comments-
This looks good. I need to add more fruit to my diet (this diet) for sure. My kids eat approx. $2,456 a week in berries so I always have them 🤣
-
I’ve been eating frozen berries every night after dinner – one of my favs!
-
That is one of my go-to snacks as well. I eat dairy free Greek yogurt with berries — and often throw some All Bran Buds on top for some crunch and extra fiber. It is Sooooo delicious.

Today was actually really hard to get my calories in! We took the day to catch up on some sleep so we slept in and then went to see Walter’s mom. But… we did it! 1429 cals out of 1510.

Great job! It is sometimes hard to get the calories in when your day start late and you are busy. Way to stay focused on the goal!

Hey all! Made all my goals today and feel better prepared this week with meal prepping and planning. Lunch this week is high protein chicken salad, which is should be able to stomach for 3 or 4 days before never wanting to eat it again in my life. 🤣🤢

The UI got weird here and I didn’t want to delete and start over, but I was going to add that my learning from the weekend is that I am a dumpster fire. Gotta work on that if I want to see progress.
-
Good job Diane! 💪🏼 I got tired of chicken and went to turkey wraps this week. They are quick and easy to throw together and they have been so yummy.
-
Thank you, Mandy! Yes, I will probably switch to turkey next week for something different. I can’t stomach the same lunch day in and day out for very long. Weirds me out lol.
-
-
Unpopular opinion but I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of chicken. Then again, I’ve never had to eat it like bodybuilders do. 😅
-
It’s the meal prepping, eating the same prepped food for days in a row as it slowly rots 😩
-
-
I actually love meal prepping 3 different meals and I just rotate them for lunches and dinners. Although I don’t like eating the same things in a row (like lunch and dinner).

Way to crush it everyone! From my calorie/protein I’ve calculated 55 points for myself. Can you let me know what I’m missing for my calculations? I’ve been submitting through the submission link.
-
Hey Kayla! Thank you for pointing this out. Turns out the email notifications for the submissions weren’t working correctly. We have all the submissions saved in our system and will add these points and recalculate.

No problem-gamifying this has really helped me jump start my health journey.

I think I missed the point system info, but no matter! I love the support of this group!

Ooops — Are we supposed to be submitting through the overview link every day? I’ve been posting photos and summary here in posts each day. I submitted my macro goals at the beginning through the link. I don’t want to make this harder for y’all to track. Please let me know. THANK YOU!

For future challenges we will have a more streamlined way to submit your data. However, for this challenge submitting here or using the form is fine!

What are your go to healthy food options?
I’ve been doing frozen roasted chicken with some california veg mix and a tablespoon of italian dressing.
Tuna fish, a little mayo, lots of dill relish and 3 multigrain crackers crushed on top.
Egg whites with bacon bits and protein oatmeal for breakfast

I’m doing wraps this week. I got turkey meat from Costco, low carb tortillas, lettuce, fat free cheese and mustard. It’s quick and it’s yummy. I also do light and fit Greek yogurt with berries. I do a hamburger bowl for lunch a lot of days. Either lean ground beef or bison. Put it over rice with shredded lettuce and then pretty much anything else you put on a burger. Ketchup, mustard , tomato, some onion and some everything but the bagel seasoning🤌🏼🤌🏼

4/5 chicken breast in slowcooker with little bit of water , extra virgin olive oil, ( your choice of sauce.-I use franks red hot or G hughes flavour) 8 hrs on low and then you have shredded chicken with rice and a veggie for multiple meals. I like to get these frozen veggie pastas, after I cook them I add in some type of protein, shredded chicken, I get frozen turkey meatballs, 97/3 ground beef. So good! Also I like to do bowls as well. Lettuce base, pick some type of veggie and a protein! You can do like taco bowls, Big Mac bowls, chicken Fajita bowls! The options are endless!
-
We usually end up grabbing a rotisserie chicken and a hearty salad. If we got a bit more time we chop up some potatoes and have an easy protein like turkey sausage chopped up and some veggies with good spices 🤓

Had a really great day! Up super early to go skiing with my kiddo and a friend. Gorgeous bluebird days on the mountain. Planned my food ahead, packed a healthy breakfast and lunch for the trek. Then went out for dinner tonight and balanced my macros with that meal, and some protein snacks later. Calories 91 under and protein 1 g over.

41 off on your protein goal isn’t bad. My go to for high protein/low calorie is tuna fish, chicken, a yogurt I get from costco that is 60 cal and like 14 g of protein, or complete protein powder that has 30 g of protein and very low in fat and carbs.

It was a looong day! Busy season had be working at my desk for HOURS today. I still got 9,900 steps and stayed on my nutrition target because I decided to choose discipline and sticking to my plan rather than stress eating. Plus a walk outside helped curb the craving, grounded me, and helped me fill my lungs with fresh air!

Have you tried oatmeal and adding some whey protein? This is my go to at home or on the road in a hotel at work. Add some berries on top for fiber. You can even add chia for more fiber. There are some of those pre mix oatmeal packets that have flax and chia in it as well. Sprinkle some cinnamon and you have a protein-packed breakfast.

Hey Kevin, yes I do that as a pre workout meal and add blueberries as well. so tasty. might have to switch a few things up tho for times of day I consume the stuff. Thank you for the reply

If I’m really craving some pancakes I like using the Flourish Pancake mix. Decent macros in there for 75g of the mix which makes 2 huge pancakes it (2g fat, 40g carb, 23g protein) for 270 cals
