Hope everyone’s having a great weekend! Just wanted to post a go to snack of mine… Greek yogurt and my Diesel banana whey protein. It tastes exactly like pudding and it’s LOADED with protein. It’s a staple of my diet, especially snacks.

I do something similar when I travel for work. Much better than the breakfast offerings at hotels. Mix in some legion vanilla whey with whatever yogurt and toss some berries on top.
-
That sounds good – I like to mix things with my yogurt then freeze it for a bit – then it’s like frozen yogurt 🙂

Went to an outlet store today with Ingy and they always sell the BEST ketchup chips there (really Canadian eh?) So that definitely threw my macros for a loop but we made it 👍🏽 Let’s finish the week strong, peeps!

What are ketchup chips? I can just visualize my youngest eating chips dipped in ketchup.

It’s a pretty Canadian thing lol they’re ketchup seasoned 😂 definitely my fav flavour. Chips are my weakness. So i measured out a serving and hid the bag 😂

Good job getting protein in. I didn’t track but barely ate anything. We are putting underground sprinklers in and there is about a million rocks. I didn’t want to stop to eat so I had a protein shake, toast with with peanut butter and a healthy dinner tonight.

Oh my goodness that’s a lot of work 😂 dinner must have tasted extra good 🤤

I did a refuel yesterday and adjusted my calories and protein a bit. Feeling much better today. I’m glad I listened to my body and am figuring out what it needs. I also got the Kreatures of habit oatmeal. After three days, I finally tried it cold and it’s much better that way. So far, maple is my favorite.
-
Yes! Glad you’re feeling a bit better! Good job listening to your body
-
I have a hard time wrapping my head around cold oatmeal. Do you make it and then put it in the fridge?
-
I just pour water on it in the morning and eat it right away. The directions say to put it in the fridge overnight, but I prefer a more crunchy texture.

I don’t know how I got perfect protein and perfect fat, but I did. I do know I need to work on my fiber because I can really tell I’m not getting enough. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Great job, Mandy! I hardly ever hit a macro perfectly (rather within the ranges…). Maybe try adding a high fiber wrap (there are lots of varieties out there now), or All Bran Buds to yogurt or oats. I love both and they really help me with my fiber intake. Have a fabulous weekend!

Remember, the weekends most definitely count, but they also count towards having some balance in your life. When you can learn to keep your goals in mind, but also have some flexibility, you will win this game long-term 🙂

@kayemjohgmail-com how do you feel today after adjusting your calories?
-
thanks for checking in. Yesterday I let myself refuel. Ate a lot more carbs and fiber. I felt much better today and adjusted to 1900 cal and 120 for my protein. I’ll see how this adjustment works out. I think the amount of meat i was eating was just hitting my gut too hard, so i’ll try to incorporate more beans, and pea protein and less meat products.

Gratitude and spirituality go hand-in-hand. I believe when we’re in gratitude we in God will.. so, want you to think about one thing you’re truly grateful for and drop them below and maybe tell us why.

That’s a lot, you definitely shouldn’t be feeling like that. I’d maybe start with 100 calories per day ( that’s if some of the weight is water weight) if your protein is around a gram per lb I’d try upping your carbs for more energy
-
Yea you def need to increase! Shouldn’t be feeling that way, probably way too low!

I would definitely increase 100-150 calories. More in carbs if your protein is adequate.
