Today was a total guesstimate since I went out to lunch. I had a hugggee salad which was delicious but no idea what the macros were.

How’s everyone feeling? Let us know your wins from this week, and what you intend on improving next week below.
-
Wins are kicking ass with my macros and praying everyday no matter what. I need to improve on journaling and relaxing when needed. I always feel guilty if I’m not constantly doing something. A little bit of ADHD going on. Time to chill and enjoy the moments I have in peace. Meditate.
-
My priorities have stayed priorities. Which is eating good and hitting the gym. Without those two things during this time with travelling a hour almost everyday to see Walter’s mama in hospice would be so hard mentally. So I’m happy we’ve been able to stick with it 🥹 this week or next Monday I would like to book the spa 🧖♀️ we need a day to re…Read More

You are dealing with some very hard stuff! Good for you to know that staying focused will be the best way to make it through. I hope you get your “Spa” Day!

Win for the week was staying on plan every day and getting in all 4 planned workouts! I struggled a few days wanting to slip back into “Vacation” mode, but I stuck with it! Next week I am planning to stay just as consistent.

Did not see this 2 days ago but my goal was to show up for my family AND for myself this weekend. This meant a little bit of saying no to some family things and a little yes to myself in terms of self care. 🤓

I have decided to take a new job. Huge leap of faith for me. It will be totally remote. I was not very hungry and was traveling in the afternoon. Here is what h…Read More

Congrats on the new job!! I know when I was working from home I needed that routine still so I got up and got ready just like when I was going to work. I still prepped my meals so they were easy to grab and warm up. If I didn’t prep I had it in my fitness pal and planned what I was going to eat. Good day and really great workout tonight and tons of steps. Feeling accomplished.
Calories – 97 under
Protein – 17 gm over (mahi mahi for dinner – LOTS of extra protein from my norm)-
Good job. Your fat macros are so low. I could never eat that little of fat. I would go crazy! 😂
-
It’s crazy how everyone’s body is different 😂 my body would fail without fats lol took me awhile to tweak my macros when I started. My body does better high fat lower carb 🤷♀️
-
@Mandy, I started originally with higher fat macros and a bit lower protein with Brad a few months ago. I never hit the fat and always went over on the protein so we adjusted. I feel really good on this. One thing which makes it much easier and more suitable for me is that I am allergic to dairy. That eliminates a lot of potential fat grams.

Good job. My day was definitely off. Over on carbs but hit my protein. Definitely trying to keep myself accountable

I have used my work stress as an excuse not to track. I went over but I tracked.

I used to not track if I had “bad day”. I have realized that tracking on those days offers great insights into the why’s of the “bad”. The learning from that somewhat uncomfortable data for me has been invaluable. Keep going!

Macros great today. I worked out late tonight and was not AT ALL hungry for dinner. I really wanted to skip it entirely. However… because of the awesome accountability of this group / challenge, as well as a great coaching session with Brad today and related discussion, I made a quick meal of greens, lean ground beef, potatoes, tomato. I’m finding it hard to get my calories in since I reduced it by 100ish. I’m not sure if it’s the stress that’s making me not hungry or what. This cut is weird 🥲

Walter – see my macros post tonight – I have the same issue pretty consistently.

I am going to cut mine another 100 also. I hope I have the same issue. 😂😂

Here we go!!! Had an emotionally challenging morning but the day got much better as a got my mind onto something better. Can only do so much! But kept my macros on track! 1482 out of 1510 and protein on track

I know that everyone says they have a hard time getting in protein, but I find it easy to get in my protein. I’ve been tracking off and on for a lot of years and know where to throw it in though. You seem like you never have trouble getting in your protein either. Way to stay on track and end the day strong.
-
Ya protein I’ve never had a problem with. Used to be difficult. I also don’t mind eating the same thing everyday lol so it’s usually the same just aslong as I don’t run out of staples 🤣. Honestly this was the first winter ever I didn’t gain weight. So I’m soooo happy with how far I’ve come. Takes a long time to learn

I like to do a mini fast almost. I’ll have my protein shake in the morning and save some calories for the evening when we’ll be out with friends or out to dinner. Don’t be too hard on yourself. It takes time to find things that work for you. What I like to do is track as I go but always keep protein in the forefront of my mind. After a while it starts working out and you learn how much of each thing your body can take in. Just keep at it! Consistency is how you get there
-
On the weekends I track as I go and always make protein a priority. It’s definitely memories over macros, but once you get use to it, it works great.

I feel this! I’ve gotten better over the years, but still a far cry from where I want to be. I just have to remind myself what I want my food culture in my home to look like and what can I ADD to help that become a reality. Over time some of the things I wanted to take away have naturally fallen away and some I have to be intentional about.

Haha I actually had a hard time with fruit. Years ago I cut out sugar completely (changed my life) I used to have a horrible horrible gut. BUT it took me awhile to view fruit in a good way again and not as “sugar” at least as bad sugar. My body can finally process things properly again lol
