Happy Monday!!! I’m so sad I will miss the call tomorrow with Sam, but y’all will love him. I’ve taken his course and he’s so amazing! Work has been so crazy and my patient load has doubled. Tuesdays are my Mondays and my busiest days at work. I’ll definitely be watching the replay. Have an amazing week everyone.

Another good day today. I’m on a gut healing protocol so my food options are limited for the next few weeks. I’m getting a wee bit tired of eating the same ol’ veggies – another 5 weeks before I can introduce different types. ugh

It’s nice to mix it up but keep at it! I bet it will be well worth it in the end!

I hope everyone enjoyed their St. Patrick’s Day weekend! We know holiday weekends can be extra tough. If you fell off the wagon, no worries! Let’s get back on track this week. Also we will be posting updated rankings in the coming days. Keep it up everyone!

Your fiber looks like mine. I am working on getting my fiber numbers up this week. Great job with all your macros

I’m doing so great during the week. I lose my 1 pound and then gain it back over the weekend. What do you guys do with cravings over the weekend?!
I like to do a mini fast almost. I’ll have my protein shake in the morning and save some calories for the evening when we’ll be out with friends or out to dinner. You sure you’re gaining the weight back over the 2 days though? It could be some water retention from salty things. I weighed myself this morning and was up 2 lbs but I know I didn’…Read More

Yes! If you look at your salt content it might explain. If you didn’t go over your calories or even if you went over a little bit you should see a drop in a few days. Keep your water up!
I actually like experimenting sometimes. Specially when I do a refeed I will usually be heavier the following day but I’ll hit my lowest number in a scale a few…Read More

I always make protein a priority. I make sure and eat breakfast and I still have what I crave but I put it in my macros at the beginning of the day so I can work my other macros around it!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! I hope you had a fantastic weekend.
I had a long but wonderful weekend with my grandbaby girlies – just love them. They are tiny, and exhausting but so much fun and such blessings. Hit my macros today. I DID have a few BLT’s with the girlies’ food, but completely logged everything and fit it in (no junk so some…Read More -

I didn’t post here the past two days because I realize after two weekends on this challenge that my weekends are dumpster fires 😩. The thing is, I simply don’t want to eat in a such a regimented way…Read More

Don’t be too hard on yourself. It takes time to find things that work for you. What I like to do is track as I go but always keep protein in the forefront of my mind. After a while it starts working out and you learn how much of each thing your body can take in. Just keep at it! Consistency is how you get there
-
On the weekends I track as I go and always make protein a priority. It’s definitely memories over macros, but once you get use to it, it works great.
-
I feel this! I’ve gotten better over the years, but still a far cry from where I want to be. I just have to remind myself what I want my food culture in my home to look like and what can I ADD to help that become a reality. Over time some of the things I wanted to take away have naturally fallen away and some I have to be intentional about.

Haha I actually had a hard time with fruit. Years ago I cut out sugar completely (changed my life) I used to have a horrible horrible gut. BUT it took me awhile to view fruit in a good way again and not as “sugar” at least as bad sugar. My body can finally process things properly again lol

I did a refuel yesterday and adjusted my calories and protein a bit. Feeling much better today. I’m glad I listened to my body and am figuring out what it needs. I also got the Kreatures of habit oatmeal. After three days, I finally tried it cold and it’s much better that way. So far, maple is my favorite.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around cold oatmeal. Do you make it and then put it in the fridge?

I just pour water on it in the morning and eat it right away. The directions say to put it in the fridge overnight, but I prefer a more crunchy texture.

Great job, Mandy! I hardly ever hit a macro perfectly (rather within the ranges…). Maybe try adding a high fiber wrap (there are lots of varieties out there now), or All Bran Buds to yogurt or oats. I love both and they really help me with my fiber intake. Have a fabulous weekend!

@kayemjohgmail-com how do you feel today after adjusting your calories?

thanks for checking in. Yesterday I let myself refuel. Ate a lot more carbs and fiber. I felt much better today and adjusted to 1900 cal and 120 for my protein. I’ll see how this adjustment works out. I think the amount of meat i was eating was just hitting my gut too hard, so i’ll try to incorporate more beans, and pea protein and less meat products.
