Day 5 done! A busy, gorgeous day and still carving out time to get ‘er done!
-
Luckily I got my walk in before the snow started!
-
Woke up to snow this morning. However, this afternoon when I got my walk in it had warmed up a little bit and the sun was shining. I loved it! 😍
-
Spent another gorgeous day outside. Had a lovely walk and enjoyed all my flowers that are blooming. Traveling this week with a very early flight Monday. Hope everyone had a wonderful day!
-
Getting my walk in before getting ready for bed instead of in the morning. Today was a very busy day with church, a soccer game, Girl Scouts, and running errands. I love walking in the morning, but I forget how peaceful it is to walk in the evenings too.
-
Today is good!!
Question for the ones saying they “failed” the last round(s) of 30 Day Strong. What do you classify as failing? Is it not completing every task, every day? Or what is it. I’m wondering what you guys think of it as. Thanks in advance and happy Sunday from the desert!
I think “failing” this challenge is giving up. If you miss the water one day (like I did today) or the shower, you didn’t complete the tasks today so I guess you failed the day. But if you start right back up again then you aren’t failing in an overall sense. You are being challenged every day and sometimes you miss. But you record the things…Read More

What are some good audible books, anyone?

I left church today on this rainy, cold New England day and wanted nothing more than to come home to some hot soup and a cup of tea. I gave up a long sigh and stopped at my go-to walking spot when I’m out and about, this cemetery. I sucked it up, got out my umbrella and hit the pavement. Walked 30” and visited my dead relatives. ☑️

Day 5 – I’ve walked outside today and saw fish on the trail, I might have screamed as loud at the dead fish as I did when I saw a snake Wednesday. I’m currently grateful that I didn’t donate my waterproof hiking shoes while I was living in a desert so I could trek through the puddles this morning. I took the cold shower and I’ve drank half my wate…Read More

Day 5 has me struggling. My husband and I went out of town last night for a getaway and I literally got around 30 mins of sleep. I’m so exhausted. 😴 when I’m out of my routine and out of my space I struggle. My daughter was also flying home from Mexico ALONE because she had to get back for work and everyone else stayed for a couple more days. Tha…Read More

Way to get it Mandy, escpecially on minimal sleep. walks can clear the mind and soul. Even if the dog must drag you. 30 mins is 30 mins LOL

Way to get at it. Moms don’t stop worrying when the kids are grown, it just keeps on going 🙂

Day 5! I hope my posts are uploading properly!
I love this challenge. I love the structure, and my 60 second cold shower at 11:30pm last night was a great reminder we don’t have to over complicate hard things. Dont over think it—just get em done!1 Comment-
I hate being cold. So the cold shower is a tough one. But I’m sucking it up and doing it. Also, there might be something to it because since I’ve been doing the cold shower at night the last few days I’ve slept like a freaking rockstar! Way to get it done!

benn using this one the last couple days.

Like I’ve said before I almost immediately get tired meditating so I’ve used this same one but it is 10 min for sleep. I love it!

Day 4 done. Wasn’t sure how I’d manage to get it in, but somehow, I did. Where there is a will there is a way, I guess. Onward!
-
I’ve been forgetting the cold shower these last 3 days, but not today. Being cold is my least favorite thing to be, but I’m so proud that I powered through and got it done!

I spent so much time outside today, worked in the yard. I love gardening and it was such a boost for me physically and mentally to spend time outside. I had about 19,000 steps in today. My cold shower was colder than it was yesterday. I’m making it a little colder each day. I hope everyone was able to do something they love today.

Happy day 4! I find I’m spreading the challenge items throughout my day. I’m currently doing laps around my airbnb to get my steps, I just did a 30 min walk and I’ll have a cold shower to end the day. I’m in a workshop all weekend, so lots of sitting! Cheering you all on!

I’m hoping for sunshine for a few of my walks this month. It hasn’t happened yet, but there’s a possibility of snow on Monday soooo…

My first 3 days of walks were 10 minutes at a time at work but today got in a nice long one with the dogs and my daughter (although she rode her bike). Looking forward to a great day collective! Also a picture of this tree at one of our local parks. It was ravaged by beetles but instead of taking it out they turned it into art. Very cool. I…Read More

Day 4 I made it to the park for my walk just in time for it to start sprinkling. If y’all don’t hear from me again I’ve melted in the rain.

My son walked in while I was in the middle of posting yesterday, and wanted to watch some YouTube videos about Pokemon cards last night. We got so into it I forgot to hit post. O well that time was good for my soul. I should be finishing The 4 Agreements today. Headed to a father son Star Wars Breakfast/ party for half the day with my 3 boys. May…Read More

My beagle June took me for a walk today. I’m at over 15,000 steps for the day. It was so sunny and beautiful today. I didn’t exactly take a “cold” shower today but it was cold for me. This is the hardest thing for me. I like to look like piglet when I get out if the shower so… ya this is difficult. However, being unable to move is hard, being unh…Read More

Day 3 was good. My kids don’t have school on Fridays so I slept in a little and didn’t get started on my water the way I usually do, but I got it in!

Day 3- I almost missed reading yesterday. I got it in last minute then did my check in. My gratitude’s were probably a little odd because I was trying hard to remember what I wrote down in the morning.
Today I’m on track and have a plan to read after dinner. My bf is out of town so I have nothing to distract me.1 Comment -
This is the self help book I’m reading this month. As for all your suggestions, they are ALL going on my Amazon list!

My day has been going great so far! I’ve got about 30 more ounces of water left to drink, I’ve done the meditation, read more than 5 pages of my book, and my kids joined me on my walk after they finished with their school work. We knew it would rain during our walk, but we thought it would just be light rain. A few minutes after taking this pho…Read More

Day 3, meditation has been a struggle. I have been doing 5 min at a time, and honestly just focusing on the feeling of my lungs expanding and deflating while constantly letting thoughts come and go (why is that so difficult?? 😂) has been the most helpful.

Finishing up tasks later than I would like, but finishing them is all that matter right?!
A piece from the book I’m reading that struck me heavily:

Thank you for sharing this. I love it. Especially the first line. Who we think we are supposed to be. This is something that has truly changed my life. I still struggle with living my this but the more I do it the most success I’ve had being the person I want to be and feeling I’m living my best life.

Wrapping up Day 2. My personal insights: 1) I like the cold shower in the morning better than at night and 2) it takes some effort to drink this much water (since it isn’t an established habit), but it’s great getting back to it!

Just my opinion here the creator of the challenge may disagree….If your goal is to complete all the tasks and you do not complete all the tasks of the day, you failed. HOWEVER, this does not make YOU a failure. It means you GET TO explore ways to be more successful with the challenge and your goals for the next day. My approach is always to…Read More
