Day 3- I almost missed reading yesterday. I got it in last minute then did my check in. My gratitude’s were probably a little odd because I was trying hard to remember what I wrote down in the morning.
Today I’m on track and have a plan to read after dinner. My bf is out of town so I have nothing to distract me.1 Comment -
This is the self help book I’m reading this month. As for all your suggestions, they are ALL going on my Amazon list!

My day has been going great so far! I’ve got about 30 more ounces of water left to drink, I’ve done the meditation, read more than 5 pages of my book, and my kids joined me on my walk after they finished with their school work. We knew it would rain during our walk, but we thought it would just be light rain. A few minutes after taking this pho…Read More

Day 3, meditation has been a struggle. I have been doing 5 min at a time, and honestly just focusing on the feeling of my lungs expanding and deflating while constantly letting thoughts come and go (why is that so difficult?? 😂) has been the most helpful.

Me too! You’re not alone. This is what I have been doing as well.

A piece from the book I’m reading that struck me heavily:

Thank you for sharing this. I love it. Especially the first line. Who we think we are supposed to be. This is something that has truly changed my life. I still struggle with living my this but the more I do it the most success I’ve had being the person I want to be and feeling I’m living my best life.

Wrapping up Day 2. My personal insights: 1) I like the cold shower in the morning better than at night and 2) it takes some effort to drink this much water (since it isn’t an established habit), but it’s great getting back to it!

Day 2 went well. It’s been rainy and cold all day, but getting out in the fresh air felt good. I’m hoping for sunshine next week!

Photo from my walk this evening. This used to be a magnificent tree, then it was split into three by a lightning strike. It is still pretty magnificent. 💕

This new challenge couldn’t have come at a better time. I have a ton of travel for work and busy things in my personal life coming up, so this is a good way to keep me on track and doing the things that make me feel good. Day 2, going strong. Keep in mind life will try to get in your way anytime you do something to “level up” yourself. (Let me be a geek here) it’s like a video game, the bosses will keep getting harder BUT it is supposed to be that way. Think of it this way: without that adversity, we COULD NOT grow and become better.
Motivation will start high,…Read More3 Comments -

Needing some encouragement.. feeling really low with that time of the month on my side. Everything feels harder to do and I need some help from my community.
-
Louisa, you got this girl! Take a deep breath and complete one task at a time. Focus on the moments and wins in your day.
-
-
I appreciate you as well. This is what the community is for. we all have each other’s back. Anytime you need anything.

Hey Louisa, just take moments throughout your day to breathe and think of the small things in life that you are grateful for. Not every day is going to be easy, but push through and remember, this too shall pass. You got this and keep us updated as you complete your tasks throughout the day. We will cheer you on!
-
You absolutely are capable!! I am working on remembering how accomplished and encouraged I will feel after I complete what I said I would (this is absolutely how I got my cold shower done last night)
-
You got this. Start by working on the brain, positivity and gratitude

Taking a moment outside to just breath makes all the difference in the world. Just taking a moment for yourself in a world where eveyrone wants something from you can make a huge impact on your mental health.

Today will be day 1 for me! I have a couple of questions… 1) If I journal my 3 gratitudes in the morning, do I really have to type them out all over again in the quiz? Or could I just put a few words or that it was done? 2) If I do a different outside activity such as bike or kayak for more than 30” does that count, or do I also have to walk? Tha…Read More

Hey Michelle! Yes, if you are journalling them, we can do the honors system. You can just write something like “journaled” in each. Also, we are requiring it to be a walk if you are capable. Let us know if you have any other questions!

This is great to know. Journaling once a day is challenge enough for me!

Day 1 of the 30-day strong challenge made me really that I was spoiled in the last 2 challenges because a park with miles of walking trails was right at the end of my street and now I have to plan and work for it. Now I’m going to knock out that 60 second cold shower to rinse off before cook dinner.
