First day missing a walk, it’s still early but there are storms, tornado warnings, and there was hail earlier, and I don’t want to get caught outside in it. Everything else will 100% get done but today is not the day to be outside if you don’t have to.

Half way through the week! 🙌
Still fighting off this cold, thankfully I was about blocked off a good chunk of my day for some resting.
A good friend told me “a body in motion stays in motion.”
On days you have zero momentum, start with a tiny easy task, then do another, and only focus on that ONE step at a time. Don’t think about the rest…Read More -
I just did this meditation and found it so calming and such a good way to go into bed. Just thought I would share in case anyone else would find it beneficial!

Day 21 done. It was a long day and I’m ready for bed, but I got everything done. 😴

Today our homeschool co-op had their field day and we all had a blast. I was very happy that I had this large hat in the car because it was so sunny out. I didn’t take any photos of myself today, but another mom captured me while we cheered the kids on while they went through an obstacle course. All that time at field day, a kickball game with t…Read More

I missed today’s call because I was busy cooking potato tacos with my kid before we went for a walk. We are prepping for my oldest daughter and her kids to come in for a visit this weekend so I’m about to be distracted by littles, but they are active kids so I’m sure I will get plenty of outside time and they will be more than happy to run down…Read More

Well no walk again today. Too many tornado warnings and lighting. I’m all for pushing myself out of my comfort zone but ya I’m not doing that 😂. Drank all the water and had a cold shower though. It was the first cold shower where I was already quite cold before so it was really terrible. But I did it. Choose your hard! Being unhealthy is hard, not…Read More

Day 21 complete
Long day but a good day. today was a little easier as my morning start much earlier then any other. Just home from ball and exhausted.
Very hot here, not complaining but does 2 cold showers in a day get you bonus pts
all good it was refreshing…
Hope everyone had a great day!! -
I didn’t walk today during the day because it was too hot (I’m a cold-blooded animal who hates the heat). I had a meeting at 6:30 PM (Eastern time), outside at a local lake. I wanted to watch Brad‘s live, but then would have to go directly to the meeting. So I missed the live, walked for 30 minutes, got caught in a thunderstorm, and the meeti…Read More

How is everyone feeling with the 30 day challenge? What is your favorite thing about the challenge?
What has pushed you outside of your comfort zone?
-
My favorite things are the reading and the meditation. Hardest thing is definitely the cold shower, but I’m getting used to it. I started off cool and try to make it a little colder every day. I’m trying to concentrate on breathing through it.
-
I’m liking the way it pushes me. I’ve had a lot of travel and this has pushed me to keep doing practices that are healthy. Water is a big deal when I travel and I don’t usually get enough. This challenge has pushed me to make it a priority.
-
I think I like the cold shower best because it isn’t pleasant but it’s the easiest to incorporate into my day. I enjoy the walks mostly, especially the conversations with my youngest child. I might finally finish my book, the challenge keeps me focused on picking it up daily.
-
The whole challenge has. I have massively struggled with it. Not coming in here for several days, not even recording the things that I did do. But what it has done is forced to view my habits lately. I’m struggling a lot (after losing 50 lbs) with losing the last 20 lbs. And I keep blaming everything but myself and my actions. This challenge…Read More

Keep pushing through Kellie! The life you want is on the other side of the work you’ve been avoiding, and that is true for all of us. You got this! With the meditation, do you listen to guided? Sometimes that helps me!

Still feeling sick, but a little better!
Still started the day with a cold shower. I’ve come too far to miss anything 😂
The walk yesterday was hoooot and I had to take breaks and lay down midway, but did the thing🎉
Happy Tuesday everyone! Keep pushing🙌1 Comment -

Just going to leave this picture here for anyone that needs to smile. June worked hard outside all weekend finding critters and digging holes. She was glad to be back to work on Monday!

Another day where I almost skipped my walk but my kid kept me on track and we walked for an hour. There was a nice breeze through the trees and I finally realized that we were walking under walnut trees so I told her stories about hurling walnuts, still in the green covering, at my cousins when we were children.

Long work day today, I didn’t have much time after work so I decided to skip the walk and head to the gym for a workout. I lifted lots of heavy things and set them back down 😆. Traveling tomorrow, hoping to have time for a workout after work.

Day 20 done. It was nice to be back to my regular routine, but it’s the last week of school for my kids so starting next week I’ll be figuring out our summer routine. ☀️

I finally decided what training program to do next. Today I started the Training with Brad program and can I say how much I appreciate having the alternate exercises I can sub for some of them. I workout from home and I’m very fortunate to have a nice setup, but I don’t have the pulley system. I definitely don’t mind finding those subs on my ow…Read More

Today was another long day. I have loved this challenge most days, especially when I have time to do things mindfully and intentionally and really benefit from them. Today was one of those days where I feel like I’m cramming to check off boxes and that is not fulfilling at all. Will do my reading, then head to bed, a little less than 100%, and t…Read More

Day 20 Complete.
Long day but a good day. got back on my morning routine after being away. Funny how going away or travelling can affect your habits.
Planning ahead helped me this round.
Feeling good with the new routine and getting it settled in.Hope everyone had a fantastic Day

Happy Monday! Getting over being sick and working around it to keep up my momentum! Hasn’t been too bad and I’m ready to keep crushing it!

Good morning all!
Really hoping I don’t fall off during this last part of the challenge, as my boyfriend is coming into town and when he’s here, I usually treat it more as a vacation. I’ve been thinking though. If we see a future life together, I need him to see my real life side and not just my vacation side. Hoping this time will be bette…Read More-
Hey Louisa, go on your walks together. It will be a good time to talk and bond. Also, look over your week and plan your items around your schedule. That way you are setting yourself up for success and not having to figure it out on the fly. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your time with him!

Day 19. Long, tiring weekend with the kids – but lots of activity outside and gorgeous weather. I will say, I am grateful that they’re back in school tomorrow!! Haha
-
Day 19. I just finished my reading and that was the last thing I needed for today. We had almost a week of okay-ish weather but next week is supposed to be chilly and windy again. Not loving that, but at least I won’t be overly warm on my walks.
-
Another gorgeous day here. I think my dog is ready for Monday, she needs her office naps. All this playing outside has her exhausted 😁. I have a couple days of travel this week but then I’m home for several weeks and I’m ready for it!
-
Happy Sunday!! All I have left today is my gratitude. Lately I have been grateful for what might be considered small things but at this stage in life they are the big things.
-
We love the quote “Be grateful for the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things”. Very important to remember. Thanks for sharing Mandy!

In response to Brad’s message on Day 28… gratitude for the simple things in life. I always start out my prayer time with thanks for those things…my recliner chair, my blanket, my coffee or tea, my home with a roof over my head and a heating system, abundant clean water, sour dough bread, whatever is on my mind. I know it can all disappear in the b…Read More

I’m happy to be out of my church clothes. I’m walking while chugging water because it is so hot out. Happy Sunday everyone!

Happy Sunday everyone! Probably won’t be getting everything in today as I’ve caught a bug and need to rest, but will try my best! Let’s strive for a great week 🙂
-
My time outside today was taking my kids to the “big city” and walking around. We had such an amazing day together!

Day 18 is a wrap! Went on a lovely walk with my sister! Everything is complete, and I had a great Saturday with my goals.
Sweet dreams everyone!

Gorgeous day here in WI! Spent a lot of time outside and that cold shower tonight felt so good. I’m getting better and better with the cold shower each time, honestly something I never thought I would say.

Day 18 is done. My daughter went to state for track so I drove four hours to watch her run one event, but managed to get my water in anyway! 😊

Want a fool proof way to never forget your 30 minute walk? Take your dog with you (mostly) every day for 2 weeks at the same time and he will remind u at your usually time (trust me).

Thankful to still have some daylight at 9pm. My Saturday flew by and I still needed to go out on my walk. Unfortunately I won’t be getting the full 30 minutes, but I’m okay with that because I’ve been rocking that part of the challenge from the beginning. Good night everyone!
-
I did a guided Meditation this morning on cultivating gratitude. It prompted me to be thankful to my body for all the things it could do, then my heart, then my mind. So far, easy peasy! … then my soul. I had to think about this one. What does my soul do?? I’m going to be doing some research, thinking, journaling, and praying about this one.
-
Finishing up day 17, I started with coffee and the cold shower. I’m almost finished with my water and I will be meditating outside in the sun shortly enjoying springtime in Dallas.

Day 18 ✅
Amazing day!!! Beautiful walk on the beach and ran into a water snake. First time ever in these parts🤦♂️
Little foggy but beautiful day.
Just finished the gallon with some spring water that I filled up along the travels. Refill tomorrow night on way home.
Back down to the water for tomorrow’s tasks. So grateful for this.

I’m tempted to roll out a phase 2 of 30 strong next month. Might be a little step down to really integrate the habits. Who would be down for this?
Phase 2 in June?See Results-
Perhaps instead of a walk, it could be 30 minutes of any outdoor exercise or activity? 😁

Sharing a moment of gratitude for this challenge. I have really committed to getting back to the one thing that always gets me back in alignment with my physical, mental, and emotional wellness…. daily walks.
