Hope everyone had a lovely Sunday. I got to spend sometime outside, spent some time with my son and both my girls that don’t live at home sent me a txt. Mother’s Day is always a weird feeling day. I have 3 beautiful kids here on earth, one in heaven. I have a strained relationship with my Mom. We just aren’t close. My husband isn’t great at planning things. So I try to just treat it like it’s another day and if the kids do something nice, I love it, but if they don’t then I try not to get too upset about it.

This is so relatable. My husband has a strained relationship with his mom, so avoids any talk of mother’s day. When my kids were young and unable to do things for me on their own I always felt so much disappointment. I had to teach myself to have zero expectations. But you know what, happy mother’s day! You are a great mom. 🤎
